2 Nigerian Students Win International Maths Competition

Nigerian students, Patrick Oghenerukevwe, from Nigeria Tulip International College (NTIC) and Uwakfon Nyon Jacob from another school, have won Gold at this year’s Pan African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO).

The two students had represented the country at this year’s competition where they emerged overall best.

54 African countries participated in the competition while only eight countries including Nigeria won Gold.

Other countries that won Gold at the competition were Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.

Reacting to the feat, the Managing Director, Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Mr. Bilgin, in a congratulatory message made available to journalists, extended his warmest congratulations to the National Mathematical Centre (NMC), Nigeria, and the exceptional students who achieved gold medals at this year’s PAMO in Rwanda, 2023.

“This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to your dedication, talent, and unwavering pursuit of excellence in the field of mathematics.
