Kaduna State governor Uba Sani has approved the constitution of a committee to determine the status of all ongoing projects across the state, including those in the pipeline.
The governor’s chief press secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, in a statement yesterday, said the committee was in line with the government’s commitment to speedily complete all priority projects.
The statement explained that the committee which has four weeks from the inaugural meeting to submit its report will determine the status of all ongoing projects across the state and get the details of contractual agreements/obligations.
Shehu said the committee will also find out the funding arrangements and commitments of parties; Find out the completion period of the projects and come up with specific recommendations on each project.
“Members of the committee are: Sabiu Sani, special adviser, Investment and Promotion – chairman, Dr. Abdullahi B. Ahmed, special adviser, Project Monitoring, Implementation and Result Delivery – member, Dr. Mustapha Musa, special adviser, Legal – member, Fabian Okoye, special adviser, Research, Documentation and Strategy – member.
“Ibrahim T. Muhammad, Special Adviser, Economic Matters – member, Atiku Sankey, special adviser, Peace and Conflict Resolution – member, Larai Ishaku – member, Shuaibu Kabir Bello, senior special assistant, ICT – secretary”, the statement added.
