A young chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Kayode AbdulRahaman a.k.a GreatKay,  has indicated interest in becoming the next state secretary of the party.

The position became vacant following the resignation of its former holder, Alh Rasaq Lawal.

Since the time Lawal resigned his position, the youth bloc within the PDP have been mounting pressure on the leadership of the party in the state to a youth as his replacement.

AbdulRahman popular known as GreatKay at the weekend made public his intention to vie for the office of PDP’s secretary.

“My people, my people.

We are in the race insha Allah for the position of Kwara PDP Scribe.

This aspiration is not a do-or-die affair but one aimed at repositioning and strengthening the internal mechanism of our party,” he said in a viral message on the social media.
