Inuwa Gets Best Supportive Governor Award

Gombe State governor Inuwa Yahaya has received an award as the “Best Supportive Governor in the North” in the just concluded 2023 Hajj exercise.

The governor alongside his Adamawa, Kaduna and Edo counterparts were recognised by Independent Hajj Reporters of Nigeria, an independent media organisation that monitors and reports activities of Hajj exercise in Nigeria.

The national coordinator of Independent Hajj Reporters, Malam Ibrahim Muhammed announced this at the 2023 Hajj Lecture and Award ceremony which was held at the National Mosque auditorium in Abuja with the theme: “Recognizing Dedication/Review and Overview Of Hajj Challenges”.

He said the Gombe State governor was specially recognised for demonstrating a remarkable support to the state’s pilgrims to Saudi Arabia which ensured effective Hajj management and service delivery in the 2023 Hajj operation.

The ceremony was chaired by Ambassador Zubairu Dada, former minister of state for Foreign Affairs while Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, the chairman of NAHCON was the chief host.
