Promoter Moves To Take Local Boxing, Dambe Beyond Nigeria

Nigeria’s biggest promoters of Dambe, a local boxing sport that originates from the North, The African Warriors Fighting Championship (AWFC) has vowed to promote and preserve the Arewa cultural heritage in Nigeria.

Founder of the organisation, Maxwell Kalu,  restated his commitment to empowering grassroot athletes and promote the sport in Nigeria and internationally.

In a chat with LEADERSHIP, he said partnership plays a major role in the growth and exposure of the sport to the international community, revealing that African Warriors has recently signed a partnership deal with world’s leading betting platform, Stake.

“The African Warriors are on the road to developing the sport and its fighters through events and media partnerships. We have organised multiple events around the country and are looking to do more in the coming months,” he said.

Other notable partners are: SWA Sports, Pulse Sports, Sports Assist, Kick.com and Bear hub.
