The International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has congratulated the Nigerian Customs Service over its Monumental Achievement that saw it record one of the highest interceptions in the southern parts of the country.
The global peace advocacy group in a letter personally signed by its World Peace President Amb Per Stafsen which was sighted in Abuja by our correspondent said the interception of explosive materials and other drugs but the Nigerian Customs was good for the peace and security of the country.
The statement which condemned the high level of insecurity in some parts of the country said such proactive measures as shown by the Customs Service and it’s officers especially if intensified, will help forestall insecurity in the country.
The statement also commended the acting Customs Area controller Deputy Comptroller Kayode Kolade and his officers fir their efforts while stressing that the International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA will identify with their efforts by paying them a solidarity visit to spur them for greater achievements.
Amb. Stafsen decried the use of drugs by youths and the resort to violent activities which has led to deaths and destruction of properties in the country. He said Nigeria through its security agencies must rise to the challenge.
” Nigeria has over the years experienced violent activities which is very disheartening. Everybody owes it as. A duty to do their part. It is encouraging to hear what the Nigerian Customs Service has achieved. As members of the non governmental organizations, we owe it as a duty to encourage them. This is why I as the World Peace President has decided to personally sign this statement to congratulate Deputy Comptroller Kayode Kolade and his officers for a job well done. It is our desire as a global peace advocacy group to encourage them to do more for the sake of peace and progress of the most populous black nation on earth”. To he statement added
