The Ratels Sports Development Foundation (RSDF) has graciously donated the sum of N500, 000 to support the treatment of ailing top technical official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mr. Siji Olagunju.

President of RSDF, Barr. Paul Edeh, revealed this when he visited Mr. Olagunju who was at Area 3 play ground, Abuja to watch the ongoing Sheroes Cup competition, a pre-season tournament for women football clubs. The RSDF Boss said the gesture was a further demonstration of what the Foundation stands for.

He said RSDF would continue to identify with individuals in their trying times in a bid to help alleviate their plight.

“I was shocked and moved to see him. Mr. Siji has been someone who has contributed his quota in the course of moving the game of football forward. So, it’s for all of us to extend a hand of support to him.

“I believe that God’s healing power will rest upon him so he will recover soon so that he will continue to deploy his wealth of experience to the development of football,” Barr Edeh said.

Moved by the steady philanthropic and heartfelt donations by the Foundation, the Secretary of FCT FA and Chairman of Sheroes Cup Local Organising Committee, Coach Haruna Ilerika, said, “This is a great way to show support to someone in need at such a time like this. This is the time Mr. Siji Olagunji needs all the support from people in the football circle.

“Barr. Edeh has done so much for football and I’m not surprised that as a philanthropist of repute, he graciously extended a hand of support to our own Siji. We sincerely appreciate him for all he has been doing. Those of us especially within the football circle need to emulate him. May God continue to bless him.”

Mr. Olagunju in his response thanked the Foundation for supporting him at a crucial time of his life.

RSDF has remained on the vanguard of affecting many lives in the past years including offering scholarships to pupils and students to University level, offsetting medical bills as well as supporting households with finance for business engagements.
