The Niger State government has dispelled rumour of disappearance of a man’s genitals at the Government House, Minna at the weekend.
The chief press secretary to the governor, Bologi Ibrahim, described the rumour as baseless.
He said people should refrain from spreading unverified stories that can cause panic among the public.
He assured the public that the security measures at the Government House remain robust and efficient, as security operatives are always conscious of the safety of everyone within the premises and the state as a whole.
“The media and the public are hereby called upon to rely on credible sources of information and refrain from sharing or spreading unverified rumours,” he said.
He further called on residents of the state to disregard the rumour and go about their lawful businesses.
