An unspecified number of people were feared killed in a clash between Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Amotekun, Operation Burst, Soludero and a group of herdsmen in Iwerele, Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Tuesday.

The actual cause of the conflict was still unknown, but the clash was confirmed by a traditional title-holder in the community.

The source said a group of herdsmen had invaded a farm in the community with their cattle and grazing on it, a situation which led to the death of the owner of the farm during an altercation.

He said a combined team of security operatives of Operation Burst, OPC, Amotekun and Soludero were informed to restore peace in the area, but their operatives were allegedly ambushed by the herdsmen.
