The leadership and membership of Team New Nigeria (TNN), has expressed confidence that with legal distractions over, President Bola Tinubu will focus on delivering on his campaign promises.

The group stated this in a statement congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his victory at the Supreme Court of Justice last week.

The statement signed by TNN president, Modibbo Yakubun Farakwai, said the apex court delivered a fair judgement, adding, however, that they are confident that, with this distraction out of his way, the president will put Nigeria and Nigerians first.

Farakwai said TNN and Nigerians are impressed with the approach and content of the victory statement and message the president delivered to all Nigerians after the landmark ruling.

He added, “You have demonstrated magnanimity in reaching out to the opposition and reassuring them of your government’s readiness to carry everyone along in your determination to make Nigeria a better place that works for us all.

“In the same vein, we wish to encourage yourself, the opposition stakeholders and all Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of unity, law abiding, and respect of the rule of law for the purpose of consolidating peace, unity and economic development of our dear nation.

“And, to do us proud in the comity of nations in Africa and the world. Nigeria, is the beacon of hope and peaceful transition in West Africa, demonstrating maturity in democratic practices. We are confident that you will continue to extent the boundaries on the frontier of development.”

He said TNN is determined to help the president achieve his priorities in governance and policies just as they supported his candidacy of the party and victory at the polls during the general election.
