Electoral officials and materials arrived early in most of the Wards in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State ahead of this Saturday’s governorship election.

However, there were indications that the election may not hold as scheduled in Sagbama local government area of the state, following the capsising of the boat conveying some electoral officers and materials from Yenagoa, the state capital to the area on Friday.

Although no life was lost in the incident, the materials as well as personal belongings of the INEC staff were not recovered.
