2024: Zamfara Votes N7.2bn For Abandoned Gusau Investment House

Zamfara State government has vowed to complete the 15-year-old abandoned Investment House and voted the sum of N7.2 billion for the project in 2024.

LEADERSHIP recalled that Zamfara Investment House was imitated by Governor Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi in the year 2008.

The State Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Alhaji Abdurrahman Tumbido disclosed that the investment house will receive attention in the year 2024 while speaking to newsmen after defending the 2024 appropriation bill of the ministry.

According to him, the importance of the project in economic viability necessitated the decision of the present administration to allocate funds for the completion of the project.

“The state government proposed to execute various development projects worth N17 billion under the ministry”, he added.

He stressed that other major projects proposed in the budget for completion were Gusau hotel project, reconstruction of Gusau old market, and modernization of Gusau Central Market among others.

“All the projects were designed to promote Internally Generated Revenue as well as boost commercial activities in the state”, the Commissioner added.
