FG Assures On Ease Of Doing Business, Unveils Auto-Gas Plant In Oyo

Federal government has reiterated commitment to providing an enabling environment for enhanced private sector participation especially in the oil and gas industry.

Minister of state for petroleum resources, Heineken Lokpobiri who stated this at the CNG/LPG Eco Drive summit and inauguration of privately owned auto conversion plant of automation autogas company in Ibadan, said this was in line with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

The minister who was represented by the chairman National Gas Expansion Programme Mohammed Ibrahim noted that, automation autogas company in Ibadan was another watershed in the oil and gas sectors as it would enhance sustainability of the transport sector.

The inauguration of the automation Autogas company in Ibadan set the pace in Oyo State for the conversion of vehicles using premium motor spirit PMS popularly known as petrol to compressed natural gas CNG as well as Liquefied Petroleum Gas LPG.

He said the plant was equipped with the needed facilities and working tools for prompt and quality service delivery, adding that it would also serve as a training center to prospective individuals and companies in the sector.

Apart from being cost effective and other economic prospects of the CNG conversion, stakeholders in their separate lectures resolved that it would enhance energy security and Environmental sustainability.

They also stressed the need for advocacy awareness for collaborative opportunities in technological advancements.

They further expressed the belief that the privately owned plant would solve the problem of no conversion centers in Oyo State, as stakeholders across Oil and gas sectors as well as other professions grace the occasion.
