Police operatives have arrested two students of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) for allegedly killing two persons whose bodies were dumped at the outskirts of Durum, a community in the neighbourhood of the Gubi Campus of the university.

The suspects are 27-year-old Hoomvez Martins Nyelong and Daniel Audu Adamu, 26.

Similarly, the police arrested 29-year-old Maigari Inuwa who claimed to have graduated from the University of Jos in connection with the crime. All the suspects were alleged to be members of a notorious cult group.

PPRO, Bauchi State Command, Ahmad Mohammed Wakil who disclosed this in a statement on Friday said a resident of Durum alerted operatives at C-Division after discovering the bodies dumped in the bush in Kuhu.

Wakil said Hoomves Martins Nyelong deposited one of the corpses identified as Rehoboth Joseph Deshi, 32, adding that the other body could not be immediately identified.

“The suspects were seen roaming about the area. They were arrested but failed to give a satisfactory account of their mission in the area.
