Bandits Kill 2, Abduct 16 In Southern Kaduna

Bandits invaded Gidan Busa in Doka ward of Kachia local government area of Kaduna State, killing two residents and abducting 16 on Friday night.
A source from the area said five people sustained gunshot wounds and were receiving treatment at a medical facility in the area.

The attack came after the killing of Isyaku Boderia, a dreaded bandit kingpin, said to have masterminded several high-profile attacks including the kidnap of the Yauri school girls, Greenfield University students and breach of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). He was also reported to have abducted and killed many villagers and prevented them from accessing their farms.
Boderi was killed by troops of 1 Division, Nigerian Army around Bada/Riyawa general areas of Chikun and Igabi LGAs of Kaduna State on Wednesday.
Boderi and his associates were ambushed and neutralized by troops after a fierce gun battle.

However, on Friday night, the bandits again struck Gidan Busa. The source disclosed that the incident occurred around 11:30 pm.
He also disclosed that in the resident of one Alhaji Hassan, no fewer than eight people were abducted and his boy as well as a woman were killed while five others sustained gunshot wounds.
At the time of this report, there was no official confirmation from either the state government or police command.
When contacted on telephone, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mansir Hassan, told our correspondent that he was in transit.
