Speaker of the parliament, Fadila Sani, who announced the passage of the bill alongside two other bills, said implementation of the child protection law in the state became necessary to enhance the education of children.

They pleaded with the state government to facilitate the implementation of the law and make the national basic education certificate compulsory for all in the state.

The parliament also advocated the need to include climate science education in schools’ curriculum for the understanding to combat climate change in the state.

The project being sponsored by the state government in collaboration with the Save the Children International (SCI) was part of a three-day capacity building programme for children on policy making process.
