Adamawa Marks 5th Anniversary With Special Church Service

Adamawa State government has organised a special church service to mark the fifth anniversary of the administration of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

The service was held at the Church of the Brethren popularly known as Ekklesiyar Yan’Uwa A Nigeria, (EYN) Jimeta (LCC) in the state.

The deputy governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, appreciated clergymen and people of the state for their prayers.

She said the state is a project in the hands of its citizenry and urged them to intensify prayers always for the government to succeed at all levels.

Farauta told the congregation that they have brothers and sisters that God lifted to various positions in governance and still need prayers for them to succeed.
She said, “When we succeed, the church succeeds, when we fail, the church is in shame.

“We need more prayers so that we can bring the dividends of democracy to the people and at the end, the name of the Lord will be glorified,” she said.

The deputy governor said as parents who have children of Adamawa at heart, the state government is committed to the payment of the National Examination Council (NECO) and the West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees for every child in the state.

The host pastor, Rev Luckson Moses, in his sermon, said the present administration is giving Adamawa a befitting look and quality services in the area of security compared to other states.

Moses said the church had noted the government’s concern for civil servants, providing infrastructure such as hospitals and roads across the 21 local government areas of the state.
