The command’s spokesperson, N.A Saidu, in an interview with LEADERSHIP, said the command’s revenue collection had witnessed a staggering growth of 216 percent, amounting to N49,618,353,807.06 in 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, when it generated N15,679,669,054.15.

He added that, at the Kano Free Trade Zone (KFTZ), the command achieved a 745.98 percent increase from N136,763,134.00 in 2023 to N1,156,992,624.00 in 2024.

“The total revenue collected from January to May 2024 stands at N50, 775, 346, 431.06,” he said.

Saidu said the staggering increase in revenue generation resulted from Comptroller Dauda Chana’s strategic initiatives to enhance surveillance and anti-smuggling activities, stakeholders engagement and collaboration, and operational efficiency.
