The paternal grandmother of late gospel singer Toluwanisings has insisted that the musician must be buried inside the house he built before his death.
Her demand comes amid reports of a disagreement between the late singer’s widow and his family over his final resting place following his sudden passing on October 20.
Reports suggest the widow prefers a cemetery burial, while the family wants him laid to rest within his property.
In an interview with online personality Dumininu, the singer’s aged grandmother backed the family’s position and rejected alternative burial arrangements.
“It is my wish for him to be buried inside the house he built; they should not come and put him beside his mother’s grave at all. I will not allow it,” she said.
Speaking about her relationship with the late artist, the grandmother claimed he rarely provided her with financial support, noting that he sent her ₦10,000 only on three occasions after she reached out to him.
“He never gives me money at all, even one kobo… when I complained he doesn’t come to see me, he would say ‘, Mummy, I have been very busy with work’, and after that, he only sent 10 thousand just like three times, and that was it,” she added.
