Ondo Prize For Language To Promote Innovation In Academic Excellence

A Yoruba language bee competition in Ondo State, The EDE Prize, is poised to enhance academic excellence through innovations in the basic education sector.

The latest edition of the contest was conducted entirely online, with participation from Greater Tomorrow International College, Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo State, and others. Despite the virtual setting, the competition maintained its rigorous standards and excitement.

 

Osalusi Damilare won the first prize, defeating Adeola Goodluck and Durojaiye Alexander to the runner-up and second runner-up positions, respectively.

The virtual event underscored the competition’s commitment to inclusivity and innovation in promoting academic excellence. It highlighted how technology can bridge gaps and provide opportunities for all students to participate and excel. “The move to virtual competitions has allowed us to reach more students and ensure that everyone has a fair chance to showcase their talents,” noted The EDE Prize’s Adeboye Omotayo.
