The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has arrived Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on a two-day official visit.

The traditional ruler is expected to witness the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, on Friday July 12, 2024.

Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Adebayo Lawal, assisted by the Executive Secretary, Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), Professor Muslih Tayo Yahya, and the Secretary-General, Oyo State Muslim Community, Alhaji Murisiku Siyanbade alongside other dignitaries received the Sultan in the state.
