Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has appointed two former chairmen of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Solomon Ajidu and Jovita Shafe, and 1,070 others as aides.

Before the new appointments, the governor had named Mr Aondoasee Tyopuusu of The PUNCH and Jenate Audu of the Daily Independent Newspapers among his aides.

The latest appointments have brought the total number of aides appointed by the governor in two months to 1,267.

A press statement was issued on Monday and Tuesday and signed by the secretary to the state government (SGS), Barr. Gibon Kataps revealed that the governor approved the appointment of the two former NUJ council chairmen who served in the state, among others.

It was titled, “Approval of appointments as special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, community special assistants, constituency special assistants, boards, commissions and agencies of Taraba state government.”
