The commissioner for lands and housing, Chaka Chukwumerije, inaugurated the panel which has nine members.

He said: “The incidences have brought to the fore the need for a review of our building control practices,” adding that the panel has four weeks to conduct the investigations.
Chukwumerije, who listed 12 points as terms of reference for the panel, said the exercise is one of the steps the present administration had taken to check similar incidents.
