Coordinator of the Conference of Patriotic Nigerians, Odieli Uchenna, has urged citizens to reject separatist ideologies and embrace national unity.

This is coming on the heels of recent calls for the division of Nigeria.

He emphasised the importance of addressing the country’s challenges collectively rather than through division.

Uchenna warned that dividing the country would lead to numerous complications, including economic instability and security concerns.

Instead, he advocated for promoting unity, understanding, and inclusive dialogue to tackle Nigeria’s pressing issues.

He said, “I understand that there are differences and challenges within our country, but I strongly believe that division is not the solution. Our diversity is our strength; together, we can address our problems and build a brighter future for all.

“Dividing our country would only lead to more issues, such as economic instability, security concerns, and lost opportunities for growth and progress. Instead, let’s promote unity, understanding, and inclusive dialogue.

“We should work towards bridging the gaps between us, addressing the root causes of our differences, and finding common ground. Doing so can create a more just, equitable, and prosperous society for everyone.

“Let’s celebrate our diversity and work together towards a united and harmonious future.”
