Kebbi Governor Appoints Acting Head Of Service

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has appointed Hajiya Aisha Usman as the acting head of civil service of the state.

Until her new appointment, Hajiya Usman was the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Usman officially assumed the position following the retirement of Safiyanu Garba, at the age of 60.
At the brief handing-over ceremony held at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, the outgoing head of service expressed his confidence in the smooth transition.

He noted that the appointment of Hajiya Usman, as the most senior permanent secretary, aligns with civil service rules and was approved by the governor.

The new acting head of service, Hajiya Aisha Usman, expressed her gratitude for the trust in her and her commitment to building upon the legacy of her predecessor and ensuring the continued progress of the civil service.

Usman thanked Governor Idris for finding her worthy of the appointment saying “though I have only a few months before my retirement, I am committed to working diligently and respectfully seek the cooperation of all civil servants and the media.”
