Blue Ivy Carter joined her father, Jay-Z, onstage during his concert in California, while her mother, Beyoncé, enjoyed the performance alongside her former Destiny’s Child bandmates.
The 14-year-old made a surprise appearance at the rapper’s sold-out show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Friday, October 23, accompanying him on the keyboard during performances of The Story of O.J. and Dead Presidents.
Wearing a pink-and-blue leather jacket, gold jewellery and shimmering blue make-up, Blue Ivy shared a warm moment with her father after their performance. Footage from the concert showed her embracing Jay-Z before bowing to the audience, blowing kisses and flashing a peace sign as she left the stage.
Beyoncé watched from a suite, cheering on her husband and daughter. She was joined by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, her former bandmates in Destiny’s Child, with videos shared online showing the trio singing and dancing along.
The concert was the first of two weekend performances celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z’s debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.
Blue Ivy has previously accompanied her father during live performances. At his Yankee Stadium concert in July, she joined him and Beyoncé onstage for Feelin’ It, playing the piano solo at the end of the 1996 track. Jay-Z and Beyoncé also performed Can’t Knock the Hustle together.
The latest appearance continues Blue Ivy’s growing presence onstage alongside her famous parents.
