The party also condemned in its entirety the procedure in which the election was conducted, accusing the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission, ISIEC, of undermining the guidelines of the process to favour the APC-led administration.

This was captured in a petition sent to ISIEC by the state chairman of the party, Ifeanyi Henry Eluwa and made available to newsmen in Owerri.

Eluwa stated that no election took place in any polling unit in Imo State, regretting the claim by ISIEC that there was an election.

The SDP chairman vowed that the party would challenge the outcome of the polls allegedly rigged by the APC in court.

“ISIEC failed to officially demand for and or release form ISIEC DF001 and ISIEC DF002 to the qualified candidates.
