The just-retired head of service of the federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, has emphasised the importance of commitment, transparency, and accountability in managing Nigeria’s resources.

Speaking at a dinner organised by the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation in her honour, Dr. Yemi-Esan attributed her success to divine guidance and collaborations. She noted that despite challenges such as entrenched corruption, nepotism, and outdated systems, dedication and commitment can overcome these obstacles.

“To achieve effective resource management, it is crucial to foster strategic partnerships, develop strong leadership skills, promote transparency and integrity, invest in capacity building and training, leverage technology, and engage in policy advocacy and reform,” Dr. Yemi-Esan advised.

She however  thanked Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation for contributing to her success through their strategic partnerships.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo commended Dr. Yemi-Esan’s sense of duty, commitment, and leadership, encouraging her to continue guiding herself with her values.

Aigboje Imoukhuede, Chairman of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, praised Dr. Yemi-Esan’s efficient management, leadership, and patriotism during her tenure. He expressed hope that she would continue to uphold her values.

Under Dr. Yemi-Esan’s guidance, the civil service experienced a renaissance, emphasising transparency, accountability, and resource management. Her commitment to excellence and faith in God drove reforms that enhanced government operations’ efficiency and effectiveness.
