Prince Gideon Adeyemi, an aspirant of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the chairmanship position of Ifo Local Government in Ogun State, has promised to prioritise issues of empowerment and healthcare if he wins the election.

Adeyemi stated this while reeling out his manifesto that outlines his vision for the community, saying his promises were all aimed at fostering a more prosperous and equitable society for the people of Ifo.
According to him, empowerment, especially for youth and women, is at the heart of his manifesto, lamenting the critical challenges of unemployment and underemployment in Ifo.

He promised to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through grants, low-interest loans, and skill acquisition programmes.

Adeyemi emphasised vocational training for youth, targeting industries such as technology, construction, and farming. Agriculture, a vital sector for Ifo, will be boosted by promoting modern farming techniques and access to subsidised inputs and markets, focusing on engaging young people in agro-tech and fish farming.

“Healthcare is another priority; hence, there will be significant improvements to primary healthcare facilities across Ifo. I plan to upgrade healthcare centres with better staffing, essential drugs, and necessary equipment to enhance service delivery.
