Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Wednesday presented a total of N678 billion as 2025 fiscal year appropriation bill to the State House of Assembly for approval.

Makinde presented the budget proposal during the plenary session, where he emphasised the importance of prudent financial management and strategic allocation of resources to enhance the overall welfare and development of Oyo State.

Key highlight of the presentation was the commitment to extend rehabilitation efforts for feeder roads across various zones in the state.

This initiative aligns with the governor’s vision to improve infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and promote economic growth through better transportation networks.

According to Governor Makinde, the proposal also signifies the administration’s dedication to ensuring that all areas within the state are adequately served and that rural communities could benefit from accessible road networks.

The proposed budget encompasses various sectors, focusing not only on infrastructure but also on health, education, and business development.

He added that the projected allocation not only reflects the aspirations of the current administration but also sets a precedent for future governance in the state.

As deliberations within the Assembly commence, stakeholders are hopeful that the budget would further propel Oyo State towards achieving its developmental goals.
