This expansion marks a significant step forward in the government’s commitment to building a robust technical talent pool under the Renewed Hope agenda, aimed at fueling Nigeria’s digital economy and positioning the country as a global talent exporter.

Since its launch, the 3MTT program has made steady progress toward its ambitious goal of training 3 million Nigerians in technical skills. The program began with 30,000 participants, representing 1 percent of the target. A further 270,000 were added in the second cohort, bringing the initiative to the 10 percent mark.

The minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, shared the latest milestone on his X account, stating, “I am pleased to announce that Cohort 3 of @3MTTNigeria is now live, and we will be enrolling an additional 90,000 Fellows to start their training journey.”
He encouraged members of the 3MTT Community to log into their dashboards for instructions on the foundational courses and assessments.

The minister also highlighted that applications remain open for Nigerians interested in joining the learning community, offering a unique opportunity to gain in-demand tech skills and become part of Nigeria’s growing pool of technical talent.
