Gov Buni Establishes Commission For Persons With Disabilities, Bureau Of Statistics

In his continuous drive to initiate reforms that will facilitate development, the Yobe State governor Hon Mai Mala Buni has established two new agencies of Yobe State Commission for Persons with Disabilities (YSCPD) and the Yobe State Bureau of Statistics (YSBS).

A statement from the senior special assistant to the Governor on Digital and Strategic Communication, Yusuf Ali said the creation of the two new agencies brings to record 16 new Ministries, Department and Agencies MDAs established by the governor within his stay in office.

Buni according to a statement issued by the press secretary Office of the Secretary to the State Government Shuaibu Abdullahi has equally approved the appointment of Alh. Usman Bura Gabai as the Acting Chairman  of the Yobe STate Commission for Persons with Disabilities while Abdulrahman Malik was appointed as the Acting Statistician General.

The new Ministries are the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Ministry of Wealth Creation Empowerment and Employment Generation (MWCEEG) and Ministry of Livestock Development.

The new agencies include created by governor Buni are the Yobe State Geographic Information Service (YOGIS), Yobe State Roads Maintenance Agency (YORMA), Yobe State Road Traffic Management Agency (YOROTA), Yobe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency (YODMA).

Others are Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA), Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA), Yobe State Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (YEMABUS), Yobe State Healthcare and Health Related Facilities Inspections and Monitoring Agency (YOHFIMA).

The governor has also established the Yobe state HISBAH Commission, Yobe State Audit Service Board and Yobe State Agency for Public Private Partnership and Investment Promotion (YAPPPIP).
