Erondu Uchenna-Erondu, a member of the Abia State House of Assembly who represents the Obingwa West constituency, has decried the state of rural roads.

Uchenna-Erondu voiced concern about the roads at the Obingwa Political Stakeholders meeting in Ohanze, Obingwa local government area, saying he would soon commence grading the streets.

“The roads ought to be graded without further delay to alleviate the suffering of the people and to enhance socio-economic activities and development across the area,” he said.

He accused the present administration of neglecting the area since its assumption of office. He urged the people to prepare to vote out the Labour Party administration in 2027.

“The remedy to the challenges is to ensure the return of the Peoples Democratic Party to power in the state in 2027,” said the House Committee Chairman on Public Service.

Earlier, the stakeholders lauded the erstwhile chairman of the area’s council for his outstanding leadership and commitment to providing democracy dividends in the constituency.

They described the legislator and a one-time chairman of Enyimba FC, Aba as a passionate Ngwaland leader, adding that they did not regret electing him into office in 2023.
