Speaking on the topic “Good Hygiene Practice,” after the medical outreach that took place at the weekend in the Assiga Community of Cross River, Ojubi charged the beneficiaries to see their health as a priority so that they can remain useful to themselves.

The outreach, which is in collaboration with Rumokwuta Agape Thrift Cooperative Society Investment and Credit Society of Port Harcourt, had over 2000 men and women with different ailments after they witnessed the outbreak of diarrhoea in the community in attendance.

The philanthropist, who is a staff of Oando Energy Resources, averred that the initiative began in 2022 just as he felt the need to buy drugs for underprivileged people.

“We have done medication on anti-malaria, anti-biotics dispensation, antihypertensives, anti-diabetes, diagnosis and treatment of all minor ailments, referral and medical consultation.
“It’s why the 2025 edition of the outreach focused on diarrhoea prevention and treatment, just to address the current outbreak of diarrhoea in the Assiga community.

“So far, we have distributed over 100 cartons of oral rehydration Solution (ORS) and Zinc Sulphate Tablets at no cost to the people.

“We have also carried out community education, where we focused so much on hygiene practices and disease prevention that we distributed 1,000 mosquito nets to protect against malaria.

“There is currently an outbreak of diarrhoea in the Assiga community, so the 2025 edition of the outreach carried out a Specialized focus on diarrhoea prevention and treatment to address the current outbreak of diarrhoea in that community.

“Honestly, I have yet to register an NGO. I am doing this based on empathy and passion. When I went to register an NGO, I was told it would cost me more than 100,000. I ended up using the money to buy 200 doses of antimalarial for children in the Community.
