“As a stakeholder in the development of our state, the NLC recognises and appreciates your dedication to good governance, and we remain hopeful that your administration will continue to prioritise the welfare of workers and the general populace. Once again, congratulations, Your Excellency. May your tenure continue to bring more prosperity to Kwara State,” it added.

The NUJ in a statement issued by its chairman, Abdullateef  Ahmed, and secretary, Olayinka Alaya, applauded the first lady’s visit, describing it as a testament to the state’s growing relevance at the national level.

The union particularly celebrated the Governor for the commissioning of a number of signature projects, which it noted, would significantly enhance the state’s economy and social development

It acknowledged AbdulRazaq administration’s commitment to infrastructural advancement with key legacy projects commissioned during the first lady’s visit, especially the two newly constructed flyovers, named in honour of the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; and the late General Tunde Idiagbon.

The union emphasised that these projects, alongside the tour of strategic economic sites such as the Sugar Factory Film Studio, the Innovation Hub, and the Garment Factory, by the First Lady and her team, would further position Kwara State as a key player in national and international development.

The NUJ also commended the ongoing urban renewal projects in Ilorin, the state capital, acknowledging the AbdulRazaq administration’s dedication to infrastructural transformation.
