Minister of Women Affairs Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has distributed President Bola Tinubu‘s Renewed Hope Ramadan palliatives to 400 residents in the Keffi local government of Nasarawa State.
Special Adviser to the Minister on Media, Mr Jonathan Eze, disclosed this to journalists in Keffi on Thursday.
He said the distribution of the palliatives was aimed at cushioning the effects of poverty and providing immediate support to society’s most vulnerable members, especially during the upcoming Holy Ramadan period.
The relief package distributed included bags of rice, solar electronics, and cash donations for each beneficiary, among other essential items.
This initiative is part of Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to uplift the less privileged and vulnerable members of our society.
„We will continue to support those in need and complement the Federal Government’s efforts in tackling poverty,” he quoted the minister.
According to him, the Minister further called on well-meaning individuals, philanthropists, and corporate organisations to contribute to similar humanitarian efforts, stressing that collective action is essential to improving the lives of Nigerians.
„The Minister also urged beneficiaries to use the items wisely, assuring those unable to receive assistance this time that more palliatives will be distributed in due course,“ he stated.
