The chief executive officer of King’s Trust International, Will Straw, explained that with the collaborative efforts with the British Council, his organisation is going to extend the training programme to other states in order to make more young Nigerians employers of labour.

The programme supervisor at Nerdz Factory, Omozele Umoren, underscored the impact of the initiative, noting that “With the support of the British Council and King’s Trust International, we have trained about 130 young people between February 2023 and December 2024, bridging the unemployment gap in Nigeria.”

Young Nigerians described the British Council organised an 8-week training in collaboration with King’s Trust International as a lifter from the unemployment market and from poverty.

According to Oyetoro, who also is a creative director at Bata Dara, a bespoke leather brand business, he enjoyed the programme as he joined the Young Sustainable Enterprise Challenge (YSEC) in so many things like how he could sustainably build his future career.
