Buni Launches Ramadan Cash Support For Zonal, Wards Women Leaders

Yobe State governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni, has flagged off the distribution of cash as a Ramadan package for zonal and ward women leaders across the 17 local government areas of the state.

The distribution ceremony, held at the Ministry of Women Affairs’ Multipurpose Hall, is part of the administration’s efforts to alleviate economic hardship during the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Yajalo Badama, highlighted Governor Buni’s unwavering commitment to empowering and supporting women in the state.

According to her, Governor Buni prioritizes the empowerment of women and has initiated several programmes to uplift them.

She also assured beneficiaries that more women empowerment initiatives are on the way, promising transparency and fairness in the selection process.

“We will carry everyone along without fear, favour, or discrimination,” she added, urging women across the state to support Governor Buni’s administration.

She called on the women leaders cross the state to continue giving their maximum support and cooperation to the governor Mai Mala Buni in the interest of the state.

 

Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Governor Buni for the generous gesture.

 

They commended the commissioner for her dedication to improving the lives of women and children in Yobe State.

 

One of the beneficiaries Hajiya Fatima Umar, called on the state women leaders to continue to support governor Mai Mala in the interest of the state.
