Jonathan Congratulates Eruani On Conferment Of National Honours

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has lauded the President of the Azikel Group, Dr. Eruani Azibapu, on the conferment of National Honours on him in the rank of the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This is contained in a letter signed by the ex-President, delivered to Dr. Eruani in Abuja.

Jonathan said the award attests to the patriotism, hardwork and contributions made by Dr. Eruani towards the growth of the Nigerian economy through substantial business and economic investments.

Dr. Jonathan, who noted that the award was well deserved, said the medical doctor, industrialist and entrepreneur is a pride to Nigerians, particularly the aspiring youths of the nation.

The former President submitted that Eruani’s spirit of resilience and determination to succeed amidst challenges earned him the prestigious award.

Jonathan noted that the Dr. Eruani’s trailblazing feat of establishing the first Hyde-skimming Refinery in Nigeria is a courageous achievement that will inspire and galvanize Nigerians to aim at the top in productive entrepreneurship.

Jonathan expressed optimism that Azikel Refinery will “cushion the effects of scarcity of refined petroleum products in the country”.

Accordingly, he noted that Dr. Eruani’s “trajectory in industry and entrepreneurship didn’t come as a surprise”, on the heels of his passion for service, sense of patriotism and capacity as Special Adviser Community Health and Chairman of State Action Committee on AIDS under his watch as Governor of Bayelsa State.

He said further that same commitment was exhibited during his service as Commissioner under former Governor Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State.

He commended Dr. Eruani and urged him to put in more effort in the new industrialisation of Nigeria.
