President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, joined Muslim faithful to observe the Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the National Eid Prayer Ground along Airport Road in Abuja.

The President arrived at the prayer ground before 9am, where he was received by vice president, Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, religious leaders, and dignitaries.

The congregation gathered in large numbers to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan with the traditional Eid prayers.

Eid-el-Fitr, which signifies the end of fasting during the month of Ramadan, is one of the most important festivals in Islam and is celebrated with prayers, acts of charity, and communal harmony.

The President is expected to play host to dignitaries and residents of FCT on Sallah homage later in the day at the Presidential Villa.
