The commandant of the Infantry Corps, Major General A. K. Ibrahim, delivered this charge while addressing the troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, during an Eid-El-Fitr luncheon organised by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. O. O. Oluyede, held at Faskari LGA in Katsina.

In his address, Major General Ibrahim remarked, “We are proud of the work you are doing here. I say this without contradiction: we are pleased with the effort displayed.

“ We know it is not perfect yet, but we are on course. I urge you to continue demonstrating resilience, discipline, and innovation.”

He also encouraged the troops to remain ever vigilant and to maintain a constant state of readiness to combat the menace of banditry in the northwest.

While reading the COAS’s message, Major General Ibrahim emphasised that the celebration was a time for sober reflection and sacrifice.

He reminded the soldiers of the core values of selflessness, discipline, unity, and the commitment to peace, generosity, and faithfulness as taught by Islam.

He urged them to uphold the spirit of sacrifice, patriotism, and national service, reinforcing the Army’s commitment to decisively strengthening its operational capability and combat readiness to end banditry.
