Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti (EKSU) has warned its newly admitted students against anti-social behaviour, urging them to be of good character to record successful academic outings in the institution.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Edward Olanipekun who gave the advice said no unruly or antisocial behavior will be tolerated from the students.

Professor Olanipekun spoke during the matriculation ceremony of the over 4,000 students admitted for the 2021/2022 session held at the university campus in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

The Vice Chancellor at the event held both physically and virtually also charged them to live up to the matriculation oath which they had taken.

Olanipekun asserted that, “EKSU, under my leadership, had zero tolerance to any form of anti-social behaviour, and that any breach of the rules and regulations of the university would attract appropriate sanctions”.

The VC congratulated the fresh students for making a right choice by coming to Ekiti State University.

He stated that EKSU, in the recently released ranking of universities, was ranked as the second best state university, 14th overall best in Nigeria and the 18th best  in terms of employability of Nigerian University graduates.

He charged them to be proud of the opportunity to be students in an institution that now occupies such an enviable position in the comity of Nigerian Universities.
