NCC Boss Commends Senator Lado’s Collaborative Leadership

The Executive Vice-Chairman (EVC) and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Dr Aminu Maida, has lauded Senator Basheer Lado, the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, for his exemplary style of administering his office.

During a courtesy visit to Senator Lado’s office yesterday in Abuja, Dr. Maida praised the Senator’s efforts in facilitating broader stakeholder engagement beyond the traditional role of screening government appointees.He noted that such initiatives provide valuable opportunities for stakeholders to communicate challenges and progress directly to the President.

In response, Senator Lado appreciated Dr. Maida’s visit and lauded his commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s digital infrastructure.

He highlighted the NCC’s initiatives to increase internet penetration, reaching approximately 70%, thereby providing over 140 million Nigerians with internet access.

Senator Lado emphasised that these efforts are crucial for driving economic growth and supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

 

The Senator also advocated for enhanced collaboration between the NCC and his office to streamline operations and improve communication with various Senate committees overseeing the Commission’s activities.

 

Senior staff members from the Office of the Special Adviser on Senate Matters attended the meeting.
