Oluwatobi Oyero is fast becoming a household name in Nigerian gospel music, widely respected for his skill on the bass guitar. From live stages to studio recordings, his work continues to shape the sound of gospel music in Nigeria and beyond. Among the most defining aspects of his career are the widely recognized tracks he has contributed to, the influential artists he has performed with, and the major gospel events where he has left his mark.

A key part of Oyero’s musical journey is his role as the bass player on three remarkable gospel songs that have resonated with many worshippers. He played on “Gbani Gbani” by Tomisin Ade-Kolawole, a heartfelt worship piece that showcases his ability to provide soulful and steady backing. He also featured on “Victory Praise” by Adedoyin Oseni, bringing life and rhythmic strength to the energetic praise session. In “Praise Medley” by Praise Ishola, Oyero’s bass lines helped carry the flow of the medley, adding depth and fluidity to the live recording. These songs not only gained popularity but also highlighted Oyero’s unique touch as a bassist who understands gospel music deeply.

In addition to his studio work, Oyero has performed live with some of the biggest names in the Nigerian gospel industry. These include Big Bolaji, Tosin Bee, Tim Godfrey, Dare Justified, IBK, Moses Bliss, Bukola Bekes, Damilola Bekes, Adedoyin Oseni, Praise Ishola, Tomisin Ade-Kolawole, and Samuel Giveson (SMJ). His consistent presence on stage with such respected voices is a clear reflection of the trust and admiration he has earned over the years.

Beyond individual performances, Oyero’s career highlights are also marked by appearances at major gospel events across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. In Nigeria, he has played at notable events such as the RCCG Hallelujah Night in Lagos, Global Harvest’s Harvest Fire in Ibadan, the Bells University Concert in Ogun State, as well as Lagos-based gatherings like Sound of Worship and Altar of Worship. His performances at these events have drawn attention for their energy, precision, and spiritual atmosphere.

His influence has also extended beyond Nigeria. In the United Kingdom, Oyero has graced the stage at major gospel gatherings including the LOUD Concert in Sheffield and The Bliss Experience in Manchester. He has also ministered at services hosted by Foursquare Church in London and New Hope Church in Sheffield. These international appearances demonstrate not only his versatility but also his growing global reach as a gospel musician.

In 2024, he received one of his most prestigious honors to date: Bass Player of the Year at the Eko Heritage Awards. This award recognized not just his talent but his continued contribution to the growth and excellence of gospel music in Nigeria.
