Leader of the leading opposition party and a former deputy governor of the state, Chief Iyiola Oladokun stated this at a meeting tagged: “Operation Recapture Oyo State”, held with party chieftains from the 10 local government areas in the Oke-Ogun axis of the state, at Igboho.

Oladokun who claimed that the state had lost its pacesetter status under the PDP, condemned what he termed the total neglect of the hinterlands, particularly, Oke-Ogun, where major roads were littered with refuse dumps, feaces, unrepaired roads, blocked drainage and reoccurrence of kidnappings .

Party leaders at the meeting therefore, directed APC members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensured that every eligible citizen obtained the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), to enable them flush out the ruling party.

“We have learnt our lessons and mistakes on why we lost a progressive state to the PDP, and are we are now ready to install, people’s oriented progressive government in Oyo State in 2027”, the party leader added.
