Renowned businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, has been laid to rest on Tuesday evening in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, amidst a large gathering of mourners who coverged on the holy city to pay their last respects.
Dantata, who passed away in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates last weekend, was buried at the revered Baqiyya Cemetery. Earlier in the day, funeral prayers were conducted for him at the Holy Prophet’s Mosque shortly after the Asr prayer.
The Janazah prayer attracted hundreds of people, including a Federal Government of Nigeria’s delegation, other dignitaries, family members, associates, and admirers, who joined in offering prayers for the repose of his soul.
Late Aminu Dantata was widely respected for his contributions to commerce and philanthropy across Nigeria, where he supported educational initiatives, healthcare projects, and community development programmes.
