In a spectacular event held in Lagos in July 2025, the Golden Stars Award Organization bestowed the honour of ‘Charity Organisation of the Year’ on the FOF Charity Organisation.
The ceremony, a glittering affair, was attended by a host of prominent figures, all gathered to celebrate outstanding contributions to society.
Among those recognized was Amb. Folasade, the visionary founder of the FOF Charity Organisation whose tireless efforts in driving economic development and growth through her foundation were duly acknowledged.
The atmosphere was electric as Amb. Folasade, through one of her aides, took to the stage to accept the award on behalf of FOF Charity Organisation. The acceptance speech resonated deeply with the audience, painting a vivid picture of the organisation’s impactful work. “FOF Charity Organization is immensely proud to be recognized as the Charity Organization of the Year. This award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to transforming lives and building a brighter future for our community.”
Moving on to highlight the organisation’s key achievements, proudly stating, “We have trained and empowered over one thousand youths, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today’s competitive world. Additionally, we provide free food boxes to widows, the elderly, and the needy, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our society have access to basic necessities.”
Amb. Folasade’s passion for her work was palpable as she continued, “This is our passion, to serve, to uplift, and to empower. We do not always publicize our efforts, but we are driven by a deep-seated desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. We are grateful to society for seeing and appreciating our work.”
“Insights on the challenges faced by the organisation, particularly in engaging young people in their free training programs.
“Our biggest challenge is convincing youths to show up for free training. We strive to show them that their hard work is their most potent weapon against poverty, but sometimes it is difficult to break through the barriers of apathy and skepticism.
“Despite these challenges, Amb. Folasade remained optimistic, reiterating her organization’s commitment to empowering youths and creating opportunities for them to thrive,” she stated.
