Olujonwo, a son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has mourned late former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing the immediate-past Nigerian president as a leader who dedicated his life to Nigeria with quiet strength and unwavering resolve.

In a tribute titled: “Final Goodbye to President Muhammadu Buhari” Olujonwo noted that beside being a former Head of State and Commander-in-Chief, Buhari was a symbol of integrity, resilience, and national service.

“Today, I mourn the passing of a leader who dedicated his life to Nigeria with quiet strength and unwavering resolve.

“President Muhammadu Buhari was not just a former Head of State and Commander-in-Chief, he was a symbol of integrity, resilience, and national service. Through war and peace, military rule and democracy, he gave his all to this country, often at great personal cost.

“He stood firmly against corruption, championed discipline and order, and believed deeply in Nigeria’s potential, even when the road was tough and the odds high. His leadership was never about fanfare; it was about duty,” Olujonwo said.

He added that the late former president will not be remembered only for the offices he held, but for the sacrifices he made and the standards he tried to uphold.

Olujonwo prayed for his soul to rest in perfect peace, adding, “May his legacy inspire a generation to lead with courage and conviction. Thank you for your service, Baba. Nigeria salutes you.”
