Insecurity: Gov Ododo Orders Crackdown On Criminals In Kogi

Kogi State sovernor, Alhaji Usman Ododo has ordered security agencies to launch immediate manhunt for the killers of one Mr. Durowaye Folusho, who was murdered on Friday at Ayetoro Kiri in Kabba/Bunu local government area of the state.

Governor Ododo also tasked security operatives to go after other criminal elements troubling the peace of the state.

Ododo, in a swift response to the killing also ordered a thorough and expedited investigation to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous crime were apprehended and brought to justice without delay.

He further mandated the State Security Adviser to immediate ensure that security is beefed up in Ayetoro Kiri and neighboring communities to safeguard residents and prevent recurrence.

In a statement on Friday in Lokoja by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government condemned the killing in the strongest terms, describing it as senseless and tragic.

 

While condoling the bereaved family, the people of Ayetoro Kiri, and the entire Kabba/Bunu area, the government reaffirmed that the safety of citizens remains a top priority.

The statement urged the public to remain calm, cooperate with security operatives, and provide credible information that could aid in tracking down the suspects and averting similar incidents.

He assured of the state government’s unwavering commitment to peace, security, and the rule of law across the state.
