The rector, who stated this in his office during an interactive session with members of the correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kogi State council, noted that the process has also put to rest the issue of results forgery in the institution.

“Today, with the introduction of e-results, students now get their results as quickly as possible. We have also been able to eliminate fraudulent practices in the computation of results, including falsification of results.”

According to the rector, the courageous and audacious zero tolerance for unethical and sharp practices such as extortion and imposition of textbooks on students as a basis for passing examinations, among others, have yielded positive results in the management’s drive to make the Polytechnic a center of academic excellence.

While speaking further on other achievements of his administration, Ogbo said, the introduction of Computer Based Test (CBT) for the conduct of the General Studies and other examinations with large classes has curbed unethical practices and ensured prompt release of results.

He said that to ensure the integrity of Polytechnic certificates, the institution embarked on providing a new statement of result template with additional security features to guide against falsification of results.
